Important notice for registered users of previous versions 8.x

Since FlightSim Commander 9.x has been completely reworked with innumerable new and exciting features added, there is no upgrade from versions 8.x to 9.x. Also, registration keys for versions 8.x are no longer valid for FlightSim Commander 9.x. If you are a registered user of any previous version 8.x, you must download and install FlightSim Commander 9.x as a new program. You also need to register again with SimMarket in order to obtain a new registration key. However, as a registered 8.x user you will receive a discount.

After you have downloaded FlightSim Commander 9.x, please read the accompanying readme.txt very carefully. In particular, if you decide to deinstall 8.x, you must do so before installing 9.0 for reasons described in the readme.txt file.

We strongly recommend that you also download and read the new documentation 9.x, since many of the features in FlightSim Commander 9.x are handled in ways different from previous versions 8.x. In particular, 9.x makes extensive use of context (pop-up) menus, where 8.x used key combinations. Therefore, if something does not work the way to which you are used, check the corresponding section of the manual.

A full and detailed description of the features of the currently new version can be found in our support forum.

IVAO Airspace File (September 2011)

fscivaodat.zip
This file contains the currently valid IVAO airspace structure and should be used by IVAO pilots and controllers.

The airspace structure used by IVAO is updated at irregular intervals to cope with changes in the real world. We thus advise users to check this page once in a while to see if they are using the correct airspace structure. If you notice discrepancies between what you see in FS Commander and what IVAO ATC tells you, this is probably due to the fact that you are not using the correct airspace file.

Unzip the file and copy the file fsc_ivao.dat into your \Database\Online folder (default: \FSC\Database\Online) overwriting the currently existing file. As always it is good standard practice to make a backup copy of the current file before overwriting it.

AIBridge for private multiplayer online pilots

AIBridge.zip
José Oliveira's program AIBridge reads multiplayer traffic and feeds the aircraft data into Flight Simulator's AI traffic.  FlightSim Commander then displays multiplayer aircraft in the same way as ordinary AI aircraft. If you are using a private network, you need AIBridge in order to see the other players' aircraft.
IVAO and VATSIM pilots DO NOT NEED AIBridge, since both online organizations provide a TCAS feature which has the same effect as AIBridge. In the case of IVAO make sure that the option
Populate TCAS table at General/FSUIPC of the IVAP client is checked.

AFCAD repair files for AeroSoft Mega-Aiport London Heathrow 2008

fsc_egll_mega_afcad.zip

Some versions of the original AFCAD files which ship with AeroSoft Mega-Airport London Heathrow 2008 sceneries are lacking entries which may lead to missing ILS information both in Flight Simulator and FlightSim Commander. Download the repair files to obtain proper ILS setups for these sceneries. Please read the enclosed readme file carefully. For owners of Mega-Airport London Heathrow 2008 only.
